People get on here and just wanna throw around insults and talk s***, imagine if everybody decided to uplift each other and be helpful, but I guess it's just a microcosm of the real world. As far as I'm concerned this renders forums and social media completely unusable, like I can't justify logging in just to be notified that somebody posted a d*** response to a thread or comment I made and get into an argument, s***s wack. I think back to a decade ago where the internet wasn't so entrenched in everybody's lives, seems like people were a lot happier at least considering the negative effects using these platforms has had on a lot of people's mental health and lives as a whole. I'm going back to that, f*** this.

I’ve tried my best to adopt the rule that I’m not going to say something to someone online that I wouldn’t IRL. A lot of people have become WAY too comfortable calling each other names, telling them to kill themselves, or insulting them in any other manner. There’s definitely a lack of empathy in a world of anonymity

Although I disagree with the last part OP people have always been a******s online we just weren’t online as much and/or not as invested as we are now
