I was a 50 cent / Lil bow wow stan as far back as I can remember then my older sister put me on to kanye when i was in elementary school
In my childhood years the only rap I heard was some s*** off he radio (Ye, Jay Z, Tupac) only started seriously listening when 15. Tbh my life really didn’t start till I first heard Thugger.
6 or 7 when I got introduced to early 106 n Park back in like 01/02. Also my cousin was a DJ so he would be spinning in his room all the time while me and my other cousin would play PS1
started getting into hiphop when i was 13. but i always heard it while growing up and enjoyed it.
ever since i could remember hearing music i been listening to rap
my older sister would have the 106 & park countdown on & when i hung out with my dad he'd be playing all his oldhead s***
started listeing to eminem and wayne in 5th grade, then moved on to ye and future once i realized lyrics =/= music
my moms used to play tupac and NWA through headphones and put that s*** onto her womb. needless to say i came out cold as s*** and trappin. i aint still never love no hoe to this day
Imagine being born in a household that didn’t listen to rap
I’m low key mad because my parents did but decided they didn’t want me hearing or listening to any of that s***.
when i actually was taking in lyrics imma say 10 years old, my momma a Jamaican American and didn’t care for hip hop until Late registration and collo drollo so i was off the Reggae Gold CD’s until prolly ‘04-‘05
Since I was born, but I didn't actually start searching music myself away from the radio and CDs my dad had until 9/10
Since alive
Some of my favorite songs were from well before I was old enough to choose my own music
Young hip hop head parents
