At least Theaters won't be dead for another 5 years am I right guys?

I’m glad The Batman 2 and Dune Messiah will be proper theatrical releases, but the 2030s are going to be a very very grim time for theaters

Netflix has not been consistently making good TV for some time now

Even Stranger Things, while better than most things they're putting out, is still suffering from writing that panders to people not paying attention to the show. Resulting in too much expository dialogue.

Now imagine this for The Batman Part III

    Penguin season 2

Netflix got the worst of all time "blockbusters".

Red Notice, Six Underground, Gray Man, Electric State. pure slop.

now they got the cheat code with all this WB IP

Kinda wild that HBO Max is just not going to exist in a couple years. Alll of that content is just going to get absorbed in to the Netflix app

He’s.. not wrong? Do you guys not enjoy watching movies at home at your own comfort? Yeah, theaters are still there down the street from you. But what’s wrong with options? I don’t get it lmao

$8 for basic plan for Netflix

$11 for basic plan for HBO

$15-$20 is a likely price point, no?

Imagine using a basic plan of a streaming service in 2025

Might as well just flush $8 down the toilet every month your money would be going to the same place

The issue is he's calling out what's actually happening

In the 1950s when Hollywood and theaters felt serious risk over the rise of small boxes which brought entertainment stories on screens inside your home for the first time, theaters and studios created new ways to bring audiences back

Current Hollywood has barely attempted reform and has largely resorted to whining and firmly standing by a conservative model that the average consumer and family barely participates in consistently. Come up with something please!!!!!!

Funniest thing is ellison initiating this bidding war with paramount then throwing a temper tantrum because even daddy's money couldn't buy him WB lmao
