Yeah I feel like part of my initial disappointment was a knee jerk reaction especially with that eren scene but this is an okay ending now that I've read it a few more times tbh

Im still disappointed with some things but other than that its servicable

They already stated in the translation that the world will continue with wars until one side is exterminated, even after Titans no longer existing.

Eren did all that because he wanted there to be a blank canvas and wanted the world to start new but he didnt want his friends to die. He expected his friends to stop him

Thats my interpretation of it anyway. Some things I dont like however which I hope get explained more with a better translation is why Ymir still loved Fritz after all this time, Why Mikasa was the key and why he truly did all of this. Everytime Armin asks him why Eren just basically says "idk lol"

Ymir's attachment to Fritz is probably immortalized by the traumatization she suffered while enslaved. To me, she looked to Mikasa as the "key" because she could act outside of that love to end things, something Ymir could not bring herself to do with Fritz.
