ElectricOk so I read the official translation and just realized Eren says he wanted to flatten the earth no matter what, then it shows his father. So I guess Grisha's vengeance for his sister and first wife was influencing Eren which explains why he was so ruthless.

i thought it'd be so cool if eren would break the cycle of his predecessors by fathering a child out of love
its such a shame they didnt explore more the impact historia had on eren, it goes back to levi's 'believe in you or others' dilemma
historia frees him in the cave and shows him how to believe in himself where mikasa and others just ask him to believe in /them/ instead
not sacrificing historia is all eren talks about to justify his attack on marley, why is she so important to him? why didnt we get any other details
his secret visit with historia lines up as the 10months of pregnancy bro every foundation was there for them to do this

The anime ending can easily become a 8/10 or even 9/10 if they flesh out these things
last path conversations with everyone; seeing how the worm dissolves; Mikasas path moment with eren and how they lived 4 years together ; expanding the aftermath; rewriting and expanding the dialogue between Armin and Eren and of course how ymir resembles mikasa
And dont forget the amazing soundtrack and voice acting

It was a good ending, wouldn't and that's all it was, it wasn't great, but decent nonetheless, most of the story was resolved.
Really hope they do some kind of spin from this. Yams doesn't even need to be writing, just things to in the lore.
