Eren has cried so many times in this series and people are really baffled he does it one last time in the end.

I find it hard to believe eren can become a 180 different person after seeing all the memories and not hold any resemblances of his old self tbh

I’m still trying to process the ending, what I don’t understand is how come he didn’t know what Mikasa was going to do? Why wasn’t that part of the future revealed to him?

if that’s the case then this ending is even worse. So the key to break the curse was for Mikasa to continue to love a mass murderer even years after he’s gone? Loving the man who slaughtered her village, cut her tongue, gouged her eye, enslaved her, etc; for 2000 years brought brought Ymir a lot of pain and she wanted to free herself from that. The key is Mikasa. The reason is a mystery. But there’s a parallel between Yimir’s love for Fritz and Mikasa’s love for Eren (she’s sort of a slave to Eren and will continue to love him even if he’s a mass murderer), so maybe that’s why Mikasa must kill Eren in order to free Ymir, as a symbol of what Ymir should’ve done to Fritz and couldn’t because of that toxic love. So... wouldn’t it make more sense that in order to break the curse Mikasa should finally STOP loving Eren (a mass murderer) after killing him and actually MOVE ON, as Ymir should’ve done?

Even calling back to the owl & Grisha saying “if you want to save Mikasa, Armin & everyone...” it was always clear what the end game was. It was a lot of f\*\*\*ed up things Eren had to do to get to that result but it was one he accepted since it was unavoidable. I’m sure if there were other options it would’ve happened but that was just not the case since the power of the attack Titan showed Eren everything. Matter fact we even got to see the other option Eren would have chose and that was way worse because the cycle would have continued.

Now Armin can devote his time to bringing the world together in peace since there is no more war. It won’t be a smooth process but the ending gives possibility of it hspoening

the end of the curse wasn’t just about love. It was ended because Mikasa killed Eren while the hallucigenia was separated from the founding Titan. Ymir was just happy to see that someone that was bound by love could move past that for the future.
