13 years of life for 9 smart titans.
He really rushed the ending over that bullshit?

Everything with this manga is for a reason.
The good news is that the anime gets to expand as much as necessary to explain everything and give it the time necessary for a classic ending.
I'm just waiting on chapter 131 to be animated
That's basically when AoT ends for me personally
bit of a watch, but great vid
manga spoilers btw
You should maybe tell people there’s manga spoilers in this before you post it, ey?

true
tbf, he does say there's manga spoilers at the beginning
anyone who wished to see Eren win gotta be a psycho for sure. If anything, I think the story was too sympathetic towards him. Slave, tragic character, free or not, Eren's actions were abhorrent and the story takes them too lightly (armin thanking him for genociding the world). It could NEVER end with him being "free".

He made a few controversial claims but I agree with this man 100%
Finally caught up with the anime and I have now changed my mind. I think the Marley arc might be my favourite arc now, which is ironic because I initially f***ing hated it
Ayo u should spoiler that s*** bro
When I say "win" I meant he didn't get a happy ending. But even then, the only thing he did was rid the world of titans. His friends still live in constant fear of war.

Human nature unfortunately

Yeah, that's why I've grown to like the ending (despite some flaws in the execution). It very much mirrors our own reality as humans.

Nah that's not it. My point was that history keeps repeting itself and humanity not only is unable to break the cycle of destruction, it keeps amplifying it.
The story starts by presenting the titans as humanity's biggest threat, but as it progresses, you start realizing that *humanity is fact humanity's biggest threat*

Of course, it was always that case once you learned titans were controlled by people lol

Well yes and no. We already know humans control titans as far back as season 1, and at that time it would be safe to assume "the conflict is over once Eren inevitably rids the world of titans". But AoT holds no punches and isn't rlly interested in an easy resolution - highlighting instead the ugly side of humanity. Many ppl who havent read the manga say "I bet it will end with everyone dying". To me, in a way, the real ending is even more depressing. Because instead of having humanity die out as a consequence of a supernatural/bigger-than-life force, it ends with humanity itself perpetuating the cycle of destruction.
All I ever wanted to do was do right things
I never wanted to be the king
I SWEARRRRR
The OP when it flashes back to the og squad is so hard man
For those of us who’ve been following the anime since its 2013 run it’s lowkey emotional
