Yeah, I feel you. But that's the thing tho - his motives aren't even fully acknowledged by the audience even when Eren himself explicitely tells us what they are. That is the true genius of how Isayama warps our perception of the protagonist.
Yeah, he adds this layer of nuance in these characters through a moral greyzone which is quite simple in theory but in practice makes it impossible to categorize these characters as simply good or bad. All of them have done immoral things but they also have valid motives to do so, so the writer is challenging you to pick a side, with none of them being objectively better than the other, and this is amplified to its highest level with the protagonist, which makes it even harder since we've followed this man for 8 years in the anime
Man i completely forgot the future sight perk
but im hellla confused so grisha can see what eren sees up until he gives him the titan power and dies?

Grisha can only see specific memories, handpicked by Eren. That's why he pleads "why won't you show me everything?"

Man eren a b**** for that

oh
this explains a lot cause i was also wondering then how far can eren see into his own future. Does he then already know who the next one to get the attack titan is ???

Have you seen Code Geass? If not, I feel like you'd really like it

I have of course, and yeah i do like it, although aot is on another level for me

Yeah, I agree. I feel like ppl who talk s*** on AoT don't really grasp the concepts at play.
Really like these eps of aot that are pretty confusing (Season 3 eps 8 and some season 4 pt 1 eps) but really put things into perspective. Though they're in different situations i find it wild how grisha's sister got eaten alive by dogs and he never killed anyone besides the royal family and he didn't even want to do that. But eren caught bodies at 9 and never even cared.

Ive been curious for a whole year to read about people's final opinions on this series and the ending, i love reading other people's thoughts on things i like, and im curious to see where ill stand on this discussion
Zeke entered these memories tryna show eren his truth and left being more traumatized and confused instead
Nigga was shook to the core finding out his dad wasn't complete garbage

Wait, you're anime only, right?
Nigga was shook to the core finding out his dad wasn't complete garbage
Man even called him father for the first time since he betrayed him, s*** was wild
Yeah
Ah ok. I hope the story concludes with this season. I've seen some ppl say they're gonna conclude it with a film - which would mean another long wait.

Btw I love this. Too many mfs ik are just content with watching s*** and not discussing it
like wtf, that's one of the best parts of experiencing something.

Nah ive already decided im reading the manga after this season, gonna cop the last volumes starting from volume 30 which i think covers these chapters and then ill complete the series. If manga readers were shook by these episodes regardless of having already read the source material and knowing the events, the movie is for sure gonna hit even if ive read the ending, especially if im watching it in theatres with my friends

I mean, for some people watching shows is just a way to pass time and not a passion so i can see them not wanting to actively engage in what they're experiencing, but discussing what you're collectively experiencing is so fun so i agree, having a weekly wait between the episodes further enhances this imo
Every season of AoT has that one moment that makes you backtrack everything to find for some clues. Annie, Reiner & Bertholdt, basement and this is no different.
