They literally glossed over the whole titans backstory in like 14 minutes more or less
If the explanation for the powers is just that she fell in a lake with some sort of magic fish this s*** is whack
Imagine thinking this about peak fiction
Ohhh that's what you mean. I understand it, after all people have been looking for answers for years. I personally dont mind it, im not someone who wants answers to everything, especially in regards to something as mystic and ethereal as the titans and that "parasite" in particular. To me, if a definitive answer to what the parasite is, how does it have the titan power, was given, it would make it less interesting, but i definitely see where you're coming from
I understand what you say, but I also feel like Ymir backstory should have been longer. It definitely could have been 2 or 3 episodes longer, I feel like they rushed it.
Maybe I’m too used too Oda’s flashbacks lmao
Colossal - steam projection, can just burn enemies
Armored - enhanced crystallization
Female - Armored ability + mimicry
Jaw - teeth sharp enough to cut through titan hardening
War Hammer - crystal manifestation of objects
Beast - not sure
Cart - smallest but thus the fastest of the 9
Founding - change/erase memories and other powers through Ymir's blessing in paths
Attack Titan's powers were only known by the previous users
Cart also has the best stamina and beast is just a beast. Mr. Xaver said his beast wasn’t useful in battle, unlike Zeke’s who is (or was) known as the spear of Marley
Monke be pitching

2-3 episodes on a flashback between the beginning of the rumbling is too much imo*. It would take the feeling of everything happening in an instant out of the moment.
It was well done and portrayed the truth of Ymir and the origin without all the glitz and glamor of the propaganda that both Marley and Eldia made up about her to control the narrative.
The music and visuals set the tone and the short but cruel story shed light on the 2000 year beef that all started with a girl falling into a tree and coming out towering the world
I assume so. The beast titan before zeke said his s\*\*\* was useless since all he cared about was research. I might be making this up, but I swore his was a sea creature or something passive as an animal
he was a ram
Yeah I’m not tryna spend 3 episodes on a backstory Bruh, especially after what happened right before that
They executed this s*** perfectly

It didn’t need 2-3 episodes lol
It’s not that complicated of a backstory bro

Nah i think for her it was perfect. We know enough about her life to understand how she's in the position she's in, why she's that way and what happened to get her to that point and reach the climax imo of the episode: her angry/sad/bitter reaction in her face. A oda flashback would've dragged the flashback too long, and regardless we got all the answers regarding her background. I will say that the pacing is a bit fast in other ways in this part of the story tho, although i'll always prefer faster pace to slower pace.
Also oda wants to give answers to everything, including things that arent life changing, while isayama isnt entirely interested in that

Its more like, what we got is enough to understand what's happening
My question is why didn’t Ymir destroy the Eldian king with all that power
You need to rewatch the episode if you don’t understand that part
You need to rewatch the episode if you don’t understand that part
i get it now actually
A lot of people don’t agree with Eren’s plan but it’s the most logical imo
With Zeke plan you’re basically putting the eldian race on a path to extinction which isn’t fair at all
Eren is like wtf does my freedom have to be taken because of past s*** my ancestors did
That ideology has to be destroyed and the only way for it to be destroyed is by the rumbling

People forget about the obvious middle ground between these two extreme plans

There’s no middle ground
Regarding the discussion on eren's plan:
I feel like this tweet encapsulates my thoughts on it better than i could
There’s no middle ground
if you’re an extremist than yea , the harder decisions are always found in between
My question is why didn’t Ymir destroy the Eldian king with all that power
Zeke explains why in this episode but you’ll understand after next episode
I wonder if they’ll clearly show Ymir being eaten by her children next episode. That panel was wild in the manga

Both sides gotta be willing to meet in the middle
There’s no middle ground without that
