This is where the ending flaws come in with how fast it goes.
General broke Yelenas arm and then was like "please forgive me and help us" two seconds later 😂😂😂
Tbh it doesnt go totally the way you've described it. Magath in that moment was frustrated and emotional, for the first time too, showing hes an actual person, and he let it out at yelena who previously was the only one in thst group who knew what eren was doing, and only seeing gabi, who is a weak spot for him, since hes always cared for her, and the other warriors too, and like in that episode seeing her changing and maturing into a better person who doesnt want conflict changed him somewhat. We see it in the previous episode too, magath has a hidden but very much still there reaction to gabi defending reiner using her body. I agree its fast paced, but not in this specific instance
conny voice actor a generational talent
I aint even realize he voice zenitsu and dabi too man got so much range

i was just thinking how well connie’s VA did at the end, s*** gave me chills
Such a great episode. Those cries by Connie in the end was chilling. Armin need to stop being a b**** man.

Great a***ysis of the scene btw. I was just making jokes, but yeah I loved that scene a lot. A lot of the tension was built up well for that part.
However, I think I can feel the difference in pacing much more in the anime vs waiting for monthly drops for the manga as it was releasing.
Yeah loads of people gonna hate the ending if it plays out the same
Vocal minority.
Made the mistake to check reddit thread about the episode since there was no discussion here yet, f*** the dudes from titanfolk are edgy💀
I’m starting to think titanfolk are brigading the anime only threads pretending to be anime onlys and are starting to s*** on these later episodes so they can get their propaganda in as the show ends.
Mods there need to do their jobs, a lot of those posts are so transparent and they’ve been there for ages.

I think that episode 83 had the most issues with pacing, everything was moving too fast, there was no time to take in the important moments, and episode 84 was in part hurt by it. Some things that happened in 84 could've been rearranged with 83, because on its own 84 is just 24 minutes of talking around a bonfire without any movement. Episode was so still the camera had to move somewhere else in order not to bore people, and im saying this as a big fan of that episode, more for the dialogues themselves than the overall execution. This episode by comparison was much better structured
They all repeating the same lines lmaoooo "i dont like the direction the series is going" "eren good he saving paradis they should all just sit and watch as the world around them ends" "how can they forgive reiner and annie the war criminals" (armin nuked a Harbor btw) "its become naruto s***ty shonen wah wah wah"
Just pure literary ignorance, i can understand not liking the direction series going but the writing is consistent with the characters, the plot and the themes, at worst its a bit fast paced
I started watching the series series pretty recently and caught up to the anime couple weeks ago so reading some stuff in this thread is my first look at discourse around it. while i dont agree with anyone saying that eren is 100% right or that the scouts are wrong to team up with marley, i will say the recent episodes and trajectory have been kind of disappointing to me.
i assume there will be some type of twist and it wont just be the obvious storybook ending (catch eren, stop/kill him, everyone lives happily ever after) but imo ever since the rumbling the episodes have lost tension bc the new alliance is so plot armored. it seems pretty obvious they are gonna get to eren so all the obstacles in front of them now seem boring.
i guess i also dont really want to them to stop eren because while its probably the right thing to do, i want to see eren/paradise win. the whole show has been the eldians having the most horrific existence you can imagine, so honestly id rather see them win at all costs than sacrifice themselves to save the world. and the middle ground of stopping eren and making peace with marley just feels too predictable and toothless i guess

I think yours is a very respectable opinion, at least you're not being ignorant or hyperbolic about the story lol. But i disagree. If the story now at its ending stages feels "predictable" imo it's because the series spent 10 years setting up the pieces to get here. To me there's no need for some otherworldly story changing plot twists at this point, because the story now is perfectly following its logic. To me this part is the reward we got after 10 years of mistery. Think of it like solving a puzzle. We're at the point we have like 10 pieces left, they'll naturally be the easiest to put, and you'll either find it fun and enjoying finally finishing the puzzle and getting the full picture or you'll dislike being done with the mistery and logical thinking because the pieces will go easily in the right spot. Im personally in the former group. So to me the story now its somewhat predictable on a larger scale because the story did good at setting up the pieces for you to figure out whats next. Whether you like it or not is another thing, but personally it doesnt take away from the writing.
About the moral choices of our characters, isayama clearly is not being biased and picking sides here, none of the factions are good, not even the alliance, because they're still killing, being selfish and in some way irrational. So being on eren's side is not necessarily wrong, although it should be recognized by his "supporters" that what eren is doing is simple revenge. Nothing will be solved by eren's decision, its a selfish and brutal decision not unlike what reiner bertholdt and annie did to shiganshina at the beginning of the story. If anything i think what isayama stands for is for humanity to try and understand eachother, trying not to succumb to their innate violence and hatred, and most importantly to get the kids out of the cycle of violence the world is built upon. And considering that his stance, the story is logically following that route, and thus the actions our characters make, whilst being flawed and all that, are in line with this ideology, which isayama btw does see as a sort of idealism, something that is easier said than done, otherwise he would've found a peaceful resolution to this little conflict between the jaegerists and the alliance, which is what armin wished for.
Reiner realizing what eren meant at the liberio scene
I think I got this but can you explain what you thought he meant by this cause I wasn't completely sure

When eren tells reiner they're the same and have always been that way, he said that after reiner told him that even when the warriors mission failed he wanted to keep going and breach the walls for his selfish reasons. In this episodes after connie said he didnt want to kill the jaegerists, annie responds by saying they realistically dont have to, because in the end what they're doing is against their interests, in fact they wouldnt have breached those walls either going by this logic, because they wouldnt have gone and killed people regardless of the utility of it. Reiner then realizes what eren meant, because eren would've been the one to keep moving forward and breach the walls in that situation, even if its the immoral decision, unlike his friends who are still adamant about causing a conflict

Nah, I'm seeing general reactions on instagram accounts about the episodes after the Rumbling started. They getting annoyed about the gang trying to stop Eren

I can see that as well.
You can't stop manga readers be anime watchers as well lol

Again, it’s a small group.
Basically all the Japanese audience (the biggest demographic) and most of the manga readers good with it.
You just seeing the negative talk because a cross word goes longer then a nice word does.
I can see that as well.

It’s an anime only thread they’re going into and trying that on tho.
They got their own manga only thread.

Its interesting too that the episodes have a way lower score on reddit than mal, imdb etc. Many are review bombing the episodes as soon as they come out too. And they pretend they're not doing anything lmaooo at least be honest. It wouldnt even be an issue if these people used critical thinking when discussing the damn plot instead of parroting the same things over and over.
I do want to read the alternative ending they wrote after i finish the manga though just to laugh at them
