The Mappa animation itself helps bring in the new CGI; altogether it's a pretty glossy look, so it's not like unbearable when you see it.

Now if the previous season's animation was here and then the CGI was implemented, it'd look disastrous.

Yeah I think I might be looking for nods to manga readers, bc the outro has about as much “spoilers” as prior outros (namely the one with Satan and Ymir from S2) did.

I personally believe it’s gonna be about 2 chapters of trite usual shonen type “good” vs evil, 1 chapter of one guy defecting from the evil side and trying to help, 1 chapter of their plan failing, and then the last two are pain and heartbreak

I personally feel like we (manga readers) already have a pretty good idea of the big points from the last chapter

I don’t think they should use cgi for every major spectacle type moment

There’s one that takes place in Marley that we saw in the trailer was pre-animated, and I hope they intend to continue to animate that.

Reiner was moving like a lean Brock Lesnar in that fort, looked amazing.

It’s a HUGE improvement from Berthold’s Colossal Titan CGI in the Wit seasons. Some of that was really bad.
