Lets be real, you watched a reaction to 4x19 rn. Probably the group of guys doing a first reaction.
Who? Only group reaction channel I peep is "RT TV", and they've been ahead for a long while now.
I started the S4 rewatch as a whole yesterday.
I could just post all the manga pages where totalitarism, genocide, war, violent rethoric and ideology are criticized, made fun of or actively fought against but then id need to post a pdf of the entire manga i guess
Eren fought fascists/xenophobics with barbary, basically, the main villain might be the parasite but the mankind had a bad role too, its like beating the devil while the humans still were being sinners and evil...
The author should've portrayed more the light side, God and divine creatures - instead of that match of nihilism, demiurge and evil/savage nature
He just slightly explored reincarnation and a love story
Bro was a fan of aot until final chapter, so that explains even more the ridiculousness of his take. I still cant get how you can love aot for 138 chapters but then hate it after 139 since that chapter at worst is decent, there's literally nothing story-ruining about that chapter that wasnt in aot's previous chapters, i'll never get this sentiment and im sure many anime onlies who've loved aot up to this point will agree as well when final episode airs
Fr the last chapter is not bad at all. And the more I think about it, the more I like it. Especially that one panel that is widely disliked is very important to Erens character and everything that has happened before.
Instead of taking in the art and thinking about what the author is trying to tell, everyone just likes to outrage for quick likes

I think final chapter has its problems, some things are half-baked and he couldve done better with some dialogues, but yeah at worst its a perfectly decent wrap up of the series, a classic, standard epilogue that closes the story. People who have problems with it should have had problems with every single chapter since 123 and yet this one keeps being the one getting all the hate for some reason. People have started to theorize that the ones hating have only read the fantranslations when the chapter dropped and not the official ones, so that skewed their perception of it. I do sorta believe it since titanfolk keeps using those infamous quotes to mock isayama as if lines like what a man you are# and !#the whole eren becomes a bird thing which was just conjecture by the leaker were actually written by him
Ive seen this a lot, and i have to say i disagree. It was a fantastic return to eren's true character, his true feelings coming out of that mask he'd put on throughout the entirety of post-timeskip in such a childish manner, and Armin's comment on top of that. People like to say it was out of character for eren to cry like that, but hes been a whiny brat for most of the story; i remember people calling him a crybaby before the timeskip for how much he would throw tantrums. Anime onlies (me included at the time) when final season came out felt like that part, that mask eren had put on was out of character, and in a way it purposefully was (not saying all eren's actions and words were fake, but his unusual machiavellican stoicism, his mistreating of his friends and his isolation surely are, and eren himself makes it clear in the few moments he drops that mask to release his frustration or genuine moments of care (think of his reaction to willy's "i want to live because i was born into this world" line, sasha's death, the prison hange scene, his expression after the table confrontation with mikasa and Armin, his gasp when zeke is about to transform the military into titans, among others)).
Again, i feel some wanted to see eren as the individualistic, emotionless chad who fights and wins alone, makes the ladies (historia in particular) pregnant with just a look and cant be stopped by anyone because hes got an 8-pack, based solely on his post-timeskip character. I loved that part of the story and how eren acted, but i realize thats not who he is and that "no i dont want that!" is a genius way to ridicule the fake alpha male persona (and some fan's expectations of him) and bring us the real eren back, after 50 chapters. Of course if you disliked pre-timeskip eren this whole reasoning is lost and it becomes less impactful, but i cant say it was badly presented.
Ending haters ain’t tryna hear this tho
Armin: genocide is wrong
Hange: genocide is wrong
Levi: genocide is wrong
Connie: genocide is wrong
Onyankogoat: genocide is wrong
Jean: genocide is wrong
Kiyomi: genocide is wrong
F***ing reiner: genocide is wrong
Random dude in last episode: we were wrong for doing a genocide
Titanfolk: genocide is right
Clearly a fascist manga you just dont get it what a man you are isayama!!!
Eren: genocide is wrong (but ima do it anyway)

When was AOT ever about the light side and “divine creatures”?
Like yeah there’s always hope, which even the ending hints at but the story has always been bleak
When was AOT ever about the light side and “divine creatures”?
just something i wanted to be represented
soooo do you guys think the Anime ending will stick 100% to the manga ending or nah?
I like the events of the final chapter, but some moments felt too safe or not-risky-enough in terms of AoT as if Isayama felt scared to give it a 'bad ending' but yeah it's ok my issue with it is the justification of some of the actions, I feel like some of the events could've gotten a much better explanation than a simple "Let's break the cycle! Love can do it! show Ymir that you can sacrifice your love for the greater good!" It felt too preachy when we're talking about starting/stopping a damn genocide here. and the whole Zeke wakes all the dead comrades up part felt very non-convincing to me. I feel like these parts could get better dialogues and writing in the anime without changing the course of events

how many times do we need to tell you mfs that MAPPA does not have the time or manpower to come up with an anime only ending for AOT
like y’all just need to accept the ending is not up to par with the rest of the series

Yeah there's always talk about it on social media so I want to know the origin of such speculation since the anime has been accurate to the manga for 10 years now lmao

They F***ING MISSING OUT.
