It’s definitely perfectly fine, that was my initial reaction reading it too. I didn’t get why the backlash was so bad but then it started to set that it just could’ve been much greater because it’s Attack on Titan which had such amazing writing, but the ending just didn’t nail it the best it could. And that’s okay, this ending isn’t worse than most if people are honest. I think AOT just had insane high expectations, but readers have to understand this is someone’s story and he chose to end it that way. I just hope the anime depicts it well. The author seemed extra depressed from the reactions.
