Lol it just hit me this is the last we'll see of aot, its really over im tearing up, this story has shaped part of who i am its hard to let go
@Stardust
Id have to rewatch/re-read this part cause i dont remember this part that well so i'll get back to this post in a few days
After all that the wars still continued
How is that surprising lol, it'd be weirder if it did
the fact that the marleyans STILL wanted to kill the Eldians after is crazy
The rumbling is definitely justifiable in AoT imo
Lol the story starting from marleyans attempting to genocide Paradis. It was justified the moment the declaration of war happened.

The hype that season 1 got when it came out was special
then season 2 came out 4 years later stomping on niggas with the greatest reveal
After all that the wars still continued
Reminder that world War 1 exists in real life

Im kinda sad this wasnt used this episode, its my fav ost in the series and the best part has only been used once (not counting the remix)

That’s life homie. He wouldn’t even be able to know what happens after he dies so regardless things would play out how they play out.
He gave his homies freedom and long lives 100’s or thousands of years later anything can happen.
After all that the wars still continued
The US is still in a cold war with Russia to this day.

Fr even in the past there were eldians warring with each other. It was pointed out very early on in the show that human nature will inevitably lead to conflict. Eren just wanted to give the homies a chance to live full lives (Besides also wanting to wipe out everyone outside the walls out of anger and desperation)
Edit: idk what happened to the post I was replying to
It is but it’s an anime inspired by very real themes and it sticks to trying to keep it somewhat realistic while staying fantasy. It would be less realistic for them to just go on forever with no conflict.

Same man, I rewatched it again and the Mikasa scene on the hill ruined me this time around after the hype of the initial viewing settled.
Was the anime ending identical to the manga ending? I haven’t watched the anime since the ending of part 1 of the final season

And also, its been repeated multiple times in this story, from the very beginning, as long as humanity exists there will be wars
haven’t watched yet did they change anything from the manga ending
Just refined it. Still same plot points

?
Had the same reaction as the manga. Great great ending but terrible justification of actions going on. that I did this just because I wanted you to be heroes bit is so corny to me like we’re talking about eradicating 80% of humanity and not even all of your friends are gonna make it with the 20% so how devoid of humanity do u have to be to kill 80% of it just to keep your cozy little friend group alive? And he also died in the process I feel like there was another way but if I have some misunderstanding I’d love if someone explains it better also idk if the armin dialogue on the beach is the added part but it also didn’t make sense to me felt very unlike Armin to act like a master manipulator
