Do y’all think Secret Wars will be the final film in the “Avengers” series?

I’ve had this theory about their X-Men plans for years, and seeing how they’re marketing this movie leads me to believe they have zero confidence in their newer characters spearheading an Avengers film.

My theory is that post-Secret Wars, the “X-Men” series of films will replace the Avengers films as the big event/team-ups of each saga

Flat out, no. They'll recast and do a more homogenous "Marvel Universe" with all the different teams coexisting as they should, mixing and intermingling and s***

So that "xmen 3" can be just as big of an event movie as "avengers 3" for instance

I can’t see them taking a risk in devaluing the Avengers brand by doing a movie without major players

Every Avengers film has grossed $1B+ it would be a bad look if one did less than that

To be honest tho, if Disney brass categorizes these characters as "characters/IP" and not just the actors portraying them, they'll recast. And they should

For example, the black panther freeze post-chadwick death. I'm sure that was well intentioned at first, but now it's just like why'd you have to end the character? I feel like once these two movies are done, they'll keep the big young ppl they want, and recast all the huge names to save on budget. Only way forward, that allows for new developments

Avengers film without the CHARACTERS? is a fail. But without the actors? If the movie is good and marketed with the same strength, I'm sure it would do just fine

And their stories should/will be done if secret wars ends like it did in the comics. We talking a real reset. Unless they do the soft reboot s***.... Just melding the characters to one universe but keeping the lore up until this point

I'm in favor of a complete wipe but I could see it going either way. Depends on how scared they get

Like idk we only have serious main character Tony. I want comic tony, more sardonic playboy s*** without being the crux of the narrative. we never got to see too much of that. Or true Soldier Captain America. A lot of characters had pieces sliced off because the movie adaptations take most influence from the Ultimate universe, id like to see some revaluation, keeps things fresh

Plus we're getting to that point where some people need their contacts renegotiated.... They've been in too many sequels to not justify getting more bread, or they are at the end of their allotted appearances and want to see how much more they can get. And Disney will be QUICK to cut people off if they ask for too much (i.e. Terence Howard) so recasts are inevitable because they can't pay everyone every cent they want
