The thing with this promo is that they want us to feel the weight of a character we haven’t seen on screen yet or even knowingly seen any influence he had on the MCU. We know it’s Doom but how dangerous is MCU Doom really?
the Thor trailer feels weighty but only cinematically, it’s not really registering for me. I don’t know exactly the stakes here
Which could work in the Russo advantage if done right and the first reveal could be monumental
Doom coming for blood
I’ve seen fans begging for years to get Doom in this s***, ain’t no way niggas don’t know what’s at stake

2 years is a not a lot of time to pivot if they were banking on Ant Man and Kang being the initials setup for Secret Wars
There is a difference between comic book movies and comic books for the 4th time
almost like one is legitimate source material for the other medium
this s*** is not rocket science
Nah these resurrections are out of desperation cuz no one f***ing with the new characters and the mcu movies starting to lose money
none of these portrayals are resurrections
this s*** was always in the cards. rewatch endgame
They really did make doom a punching bag in the old one lol
Then they bring him back in the sequel to supposedly make amends and he goes down even easier 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

You right that resurrection not the right word but bringing back Wolverine rdj and cap was def not on the cards at the time this is a pivot/course correction after the shift to new characters fizzled
Man it took years and years but it looks like people came around and realized Ragnarok was mid.
When ragnarok dropped it was nothing was d***riding like that s*** was really what people wanted and needed. Glad people woke up and realized that ain’t it. It never was

Idk why people keep acting that way about it lmao
Every single genre that is based on source material adapts the tropes and traits of said source material. Why would comic book films be any different?

I feel like Love & Thunder kinda retroactively soured people on Ragnarok
If Ragnarok was the only Thor film in that style then I think it would still be looked at fondly, that was a much needed change of pace for the character at that moment in time

Facts. Ruined Thor's character and basically gave him a GOTG movie
Nigga just described almost every MCU movie ever…
Nah, some of the beloved MCU movies still hold up. I don't think people will turn on Iron Man 1, Winter Soldier, Infinity War, GOTG 1 (this one is also overrated imo)

Quantumania released in Feb. 2023, the Majors incident happened in March 2023, RDJ was announced as Doom in July 2024.
It seems like in that one year period is when the decision to pivot to Doom was made, but they still had multiple projects on the way that were either featuring Kang or were already too far into production to include Doom.
Guardians Vol. 3 & The Marvels were both already shot and set to be released in May 2023 and November 2023 respectively.
Deadpool & Wolverine began filming in May 2023, was paused in July due to the strikes, and resumed in November.
Brave New World finished filming by June 2023.
Thunderbolts* was originally supposed to film in Summer 2023, but was delayed to February 2024 due to the strikes, but the film was already fully written and casted.
Fantastic Four was already fully written and casted by the start of 2024 as well, and it began filming in July.
There basically was not a single film in which Doom could’ve been feasibly added to post-Quantumania because all of them were way too deep in production by the time that RDJ was even brought on as Doom

Well, it followed up what was quite possibly the most boring MCU film at that point
