You got the perfect storm tbh. Good release date + trilogy ending + stacked cast (might dare to say better than avengers acting wise) + perfect source material + anticipation + Timmy on a comeback path. Yeah it can dominate doomsday tbh

It might be better but people aren't checking it out over Avengers, apart from online circles.

You are severely downplaying the popularity of Dune

Might dare to say Dune is currently WBs tenthpole franchise. Even replacing DC.

I am not lol, though I believe they might change release dates due to IMAX unavailability but an Avengers movie is not getting outdone by Dune

There's a whole world out there who don't even know about Dune but their kids' lunchboxes have Iron Man or Captain America on them.

By that logic captain america 4, fantastic four shouldve done exorbitant numbers.

Dune might outdo Avengers in like Europe maybe.

Sam Wilson is not THE Captain America to most people and Fantastic 4 have never had that kind of pull.

Dune 1 made 411 million in theaters during peak COVID when it was also day and date on HBO Max

Dune 2 ended up making 715 mil which is higher than every Marvel movie since No Way Home with the exception of Deadpool 3 and Thor 4

You take IMAX away from Avengers and Dune being better means more losses for Marvel

I still fully understand that Doomsday will make more regardless, but Marvel is losing out on even more by keeping this on the same date as Dune
