I could see a scenario where Dune moves to Christmas?
It would give Doomsday IMAX for a week and then Dune would have it for the following 3
No way Disney doesn't end up big bro'ing them, no way

I don't know, WB seems pretty firm on this
We're still 9 months out so anything can happen though
Jumanji 3 is like 4batz dropping between Drake and Kendrick beef

s*** will still make $500 m somehow

Actually wait this is kind of a sound argument
Avengers and Dune have a decently sized crossover audience. So wouldn't it benefit both of them to be a week apart?
That way Avengers can get IMAX for at least a week, and people who want to see both won't feel the need to double feature and both opening weekends could be higher than they might've been if they stay on the same date. I don't think Dune is going to lose anything by moving to Christmas Day. Plus a movie about a holy war coming out on Christmas is kind of twistedly poetic?
It's also based on a book called Dune: MESSIAH
What better way to honor that name by coming out on Jesus' birthday
Marvel’s highest pressure movie yet, most scrutinized ever before release, and the Dune trailer put even more pressure on the film
The first trailer can be no less than these

Dune is absolutely not moving
Doomsday could, but I don’t even know if that would give them IMAX because idk how long Dune’s exclusive window is
I think the best spot for Doomsday to move to is the top of November. They would get two weeks before Hunger Games and four weeks before Narnia so the IMAX runway would be clear
So you have an imposing villain in search of something that drives an epic story. How do you introduce them? Easy

Dunes window is 3 weeks
So it looks like Dune is only getting IMAX and Avengers will take every other PLF
That's fine because my ass will walk right across the hall from IMAX to Dolby on December 18 after Dune ends
drop the fkn trailer already
i fear no Doomsday trailer till after Brand New Day is out and done with
I mean it objectively doesn’t but that doesn’t mean it isn’t foolish to not have iMAX

That’d be a little crazy

First real trailer probably going to drop in front of Mando as an opening weekend exclusive

Behind closed doors at cinemacon and yeah like you said before mando. That movie needs some juice big time
“Experience DOOM in exclusive 4DX”

I imagine a large amount of ticket sales will come from parents who don't gaf about marvel taking their kids. These parents typically aren't shelling out $25 a ticket for iMax
Dune on the other hand I imagine will be an older audience so they're more willing to dish out for premium formats

There is still a large sec of gen pop nerds who will go see Doomsday in Dolby
