its not really about his performance but just from the outside it screams gimmick and i think thats adding to the collective tepid reaction

i really just want them to make good movies. if that comes off as me being pretentious then so be it, i enjoy good movies

its incredibly obvious to me the mcu has been milking the same formula for years. "remember this character from years ago? well he's coming back!" "remember this cool moment your favourite character did? well here's him doing it again!"

i really can't understand how you can consume the movies the mcu currently puts out and not feel like they're just being lazy

He righ too. Glory days of marvel are long gone. We getting the last remnants of what was good. Secret wars could be cool with symbiote Spiderman im sure.

Basically the only thing keeping the cinematic universe afloat after secret wars is whatever Spiderman movies they have and the X men reboot. And we'll have to see if they dont f*** that up.
