1. Not doing Kang justice on screen
2. Not completing his arc

Now they rushing towards SW & Doom as a full fledged villain when they could’ve atleast had one more Avengers film before Doomsday to flesh characters & stories out

Marvel wont pay a cent more to their vfx studios wether they hire him or not. Its a strange discussion really

Watched Infinity War & Endgame back to back yesterday and it's so clear that part of what made those films so good (especially IW) was the culmination of all of the ground work that the MCU did beforehand. So many moments in the previous two Avengers movies felt earned and I don't know if Doomsday/Secret Wars will be capable of that at this point.

RDJ as Doom feels like the most transparent indication that the MCU lacks the cohesive vision that it had in the first 3 phases. I think they could've at least appeared to have gotten back on track if they had just re-cast Kang and teased him in a few of their upcoming projects. We're now 5 years removed from Endgame at the tail end of phase 5 and the MCU feels as unfocused as ever.

We'll see how it turns out 2 years from now but atm I don't know what the play is with RDJ/Doom except to lure back some fans who have stopped paying attention and pay him an exorbitant amount of money.

DP3 was definitely the initial multiverse movie to get things to tie in before Kang, that movie definitely went through changes so the first pic is a moot point
