this year (after a promise to a family member + therapist) I started making it a goal to be more existing in the world around me instead of paralyzed by anxiety and a good way to do that was get back into past times I used to do all the time when I was younger before life hit.
Taking long walks, learning how to plant, taking dance classes, and just really getting back in my reading s***.
The whole "male loneliness epidemic" really is fascinating to me because it's like...yeah, the destruction of the second space has made it that more people get isolated and thus more vulnerable to harmful rhetoric on the internet. Like can't even make friends out of sincerity for example.
Even seeing many posts in this sxn when it comes to relationships/women it makes me really wonder, what do you guys do outside of work/career and this forum.
Like I feel as a musician, if all you do is music related activities and NOTHING else, you're kinda boring to me. Sad part is a lot of musicians move like that.
So yeah, what do yall fellas do for hobbies man?
reading books, fashion, learning languages, working out
thinking about picking up a sport either get back in basketball or tennis for nice forearms

Bike riding
A few other things depending on how you define a hobby
reading, hooping, and weightlifting mainly
wanna expand into some more hobbies tho, maybe singing or camping. also want to get back into yoga
the importance of hobbies is understated and would definitely help most young men with stress and anxiety
play futbol
go to a ceramic studio just to do fun things
read some no real things books
do art
talkshit
go to hardcore concerts just sweat things out
Lifting
Music
Sports (playing and watching)
Cars (washing, tinkering, driving)
Home improvement/fixing things
Playing with my dog/walking her
A lot of others but the ones I most routinely do
I play pickup basketball and thrift if that counts.
I need to do better with hobbies. Also something I have a goal set for and being held accountable for with my therapist as well.
My goal is to be more social and center the social things around things I enjoy
Currently it’s really hard for me to do that cause I don’t really relate to people outside of my original friend group who I don’t live near anymore
My hobbies lately have just been video games (lol), coding / learning new coding languages, and that’s about it. I do get out in the summer time and try to go on nature hikes and be by the water, but I live in an area where it’s basically cold 7 months out of the year so…. A lot of time to not be doing any hobbies in the outdoors
Thankfully I have a wife so I’m not lonely per se, but I am lonely in the friend department. Sucks
smoke weed
talk to family and friends
sometimes a skim through a book im interested in
not really enjoying games anymore tbh i dont feel like going all sweaty in competitive and single player games only can give so much. so its a littly dull right now. expected when you game your entire youth i guess. gym bores me too after a few months
I like watching fishtank on my tv in the den and painting or doing art on my ipad pro. If im not in mood i play video games with friends
This is a good thread tbh. Stay at home dad and artist / writer. So I try to balance the lifestyle with other stuff because there’s a thing as too much art and I don’t find it productive to constantly think about it. I read, I work out a lot, been getting back into sports and started watching new sports. Getting better with car stuff and learning about them.
Really want to learn how to paint but always been terrible at drawing/art and I don't know where to start
Visual arts and music. I play guitar.
I also love Martial arts and weight lifting.
Also games, movies, TV. Books etc.
Pinball, disc golf, pokemon games/hacks/cards/etc, live music
Plan on getting into biking, snowboarding, and skating again (like egg boards)
weekdays it’s reading, workouts, cooking, going to sports
few beers on Friday & then it’s drinking, f***ing, or wanking , Netflix & self-loathing
