S***, it was west coast niggas who smoked 2Pac but apparently they got love for him

Will never forgive them goofy f*** niggas for what they did to Drakeo

Niggas in Cali literally instilled a culture where a nigga will kill you based on you wearing the wrong hat or being from the wrong street but yeah west coast hospitality

    John Madden

New York didn't have a choice but to roll with 50 once he got poppin out west

I like how you’re tryna spin this like a New York nigga didn’t carry a west coast entity for a grip

  • Jun 19, 2023

Nah man the audacity of Cali niggas tryna talk about some "west coast hospitality" and "New York niggas are the biggest haters" when:

    Tupac
    Biggie
    Pop Smoke
    Nipsey Hussle
    Drakeo the Ruler
    PnB Rock

    Were all killed out west.

Infact, just looking at this list en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_murdered_hip_hop_musicians?wprov=sfla1

More rappers have been killed out west and in the south than they have been in NY. S***, in general it's been more rappers killed out west, in the south, and up north and in the Midwest than on the east coast....Y'all some nasty projecting ass mothafuckers

I always look at this from an objective lense and I can say yes Drake is more influential than Kendrick when it comes to contributing to the culture musically however what makes me chuckle is when ppl ignore Kendrick’s contribution or his greatness cause a lot of white ppl f*** with his music.
Don’t y’all realize in order to even get as big as Drake or Kendrick a majority of your fans have to be white.

Secondly feels ignorant bigging up Drake cause it makes it seem like most black ppl’s lives revolve around being in relationships, competing with each other to make it and flexin. That’s all there is to the black experience? but if we mention anything else we’re pandering or on some nerd s***

Kendrick made an album for people from Los Angeles,
What drake did 4 music is a bigger effect. Kendrick is overrated that was Azalea’s point

If you’re referring to GKMC it’s more than just an album for LA. TPAB applies to anyone going through the black experience in America, Damn is particularly personal to Kendrick. However I don’t deny Drake has had a bigger impact on music.but don’t like the idea that Kendrick is seen as overrated cause he gets critical acclaim and adoration from White people. If anything it’s harder to be as successful as Drake when the topics you cover are more niche and complex

The “overrated because adored by white people” narrative is weird to me in this instance because Drake is also adored by white people.

No GKMC is for LA, it’s just Kendrick depicting what it’s like being there, then his dad said man take care of his family
All Kendrick did was make a good sounding album for the west,
    Drake changed hip hop music
What he did is better, what Kendrick did is being overrated

All my white friends love Drake, not all of em love Kendrick. All my black friends love Kendrick, not all of em love Drake. Around here they’d have you believe Drake was black peoples favorite while Kendrick is attending kkk rallies ffs

Drake makes much more egregiously white people music. Between the Kiki song and the “only love my momma” line white people were in a chokehold Scorpion era lol

Drake and Kanye are more beloved by white people than Kendrick. I have 0 doubt about it

this is a fact, which is why im laughing at some of these responses. the fact Kendrick is as big as he is says a lot about his talent pen wise. Man aint making pop records you can dance to

    Which album?

    GKMC or TPAB?

Because in terms of hip hop culture and black excellence those 2 projects have done, and will continue to do, far more than any Drake project has done, or ever will do.

Objectively, and respectfully, factually, and matter of factually

    (And expeditiously)
