How's everyone finding the card system?

I was skeptical at first, wasn't sure if it was something I'd use much. But now I've progressed and collected quite a lot of cards, mixing them up for different play styles has been quite fun. I usually focus Melee heavy (Increased Melee Damage, Recover Health from Melee Kills, etc) - but mixing it up has made things feel more interesting.

I really like how the corruption cards can change a run too. I was playing The Road To Hell and we drew the Exploding Gas Ridden card - made the tight corridors at the end near impossible. Played again with different corruption cards, and it felt like a completely new map.

I would be mad if it wasn’t here . Gives me a reason to grind and i love the experimental aspects of it . Gives the game a ton of replay value

They have also fixed a lot since the beta gameplay wise . Truly feels like a modern left 4 dead experience to me now

Yeah completely. Some of the special ridden are great throwbacks to old enemies. The Witch was noticeably missing, but I think the inclusion of The Hag / The Snitch kind of fills the gap.

Might just be my memory but I feel like the special infected didn’t show up nearly as frequently back in the L4D days.

Makes them a bit less of a moment seeing them for me.

they have been adjusting spawn rates based on feedback.

love the card system. i've got a shoot mcgavin deck, a clown deck, and a slasher deck so far.

really adds some variety to it all. and im very interested as to how a deck will need to be built for optimal nightmare play.

I just got to act 2 and this game is legit amazing . The corruption cards add so much sauce and appropriate difficulties . The Hag or whatever is dangerous as hell too

  • Oct 17, 2021

this final act got me shook

  • Oct 17, 2021

Smgs are my main but i have a deck centered around it’s usage so it’s pretty powerful

I like this game but something about it to me just doesn’t make me wanna run back and play it everyday.

    Can I play this alone?

If you mean alone with randoms, for sure. Some will be better than others, but it is doable

Alone as in just yourself: the solo progression is literally non-existent right now. They just unlock everything for you so there isnt any reward for playing it. They have mentioned that they will be changing this soon tho, so keep an eye out if this is important for you

Yeah, I got a series S for gamepass to go with my PS5 purely for these games I know I’d drop £60-70 on.

Make my money back in no time!

love how much more team focused the higher difficulties are than l4d.

l4d a homie and I could clutch any situation with randoms.

in this all 4 need to be doing their job or no one will survive on the harder difficulties.

  • Oct 21, 2021

aight so this is pretty fun. i can imagine it being a blast with a competent team

yea they have a bit to do to balance the difficulty jump to veteran.

it feels like recruit is l4d easy, but veteran is l4d expert and we are missing advanced difficulty middle ground from l4d.

    havent even tried nightmare yet

ultimately if they gave us some pity supply points on a failed run it wouldnt hurt so much to play on the harder difficulties and lose because its so tough.

id rather lose and get some pity points but it was fun and engaging difficulty, than have to farm on recruit which can be kinda boring during what should be intense moments.
