I can’t wait to see the next web series episode. Since this is June 1990. What will the complex look like following all this.
we saw it begin to remember/incorporate the store and Mary’s office, those still life’s too.
The concept is so endless and the timeline so pushed back that a sequel could be in 1992 and fill in gaps between this in 1990 and found footage 2 and 3. Like they could call the sequel Backrooms Y2K and have some people fall into it on 2000. It would theoretically look crazy in there by then.

In the 5 or so years that we've seen from this, how much story do we really have?
I think he ruined a lot by showing the thing. He broke the biggest rule, the viewers own imagination is far more terrifying than anything you can show them.

well i think you kinda have to show the thing in some sort of capacity. i personally was just disappointed by what the thing ACTUALLY was.
there was a lot of talking in my theater too actually
Zoomers going to theater is good and I’m glad it’s a young film maker but damn . It’s a bit of monkey paw
pretty good movie but it could’ve held back more. it’s a diversity win to see a black guy lead the most “just walk away” horror movie in history. i’d probably do that s*** drunk too

Honestly the stark contrast between the thing and the rest made it scary

the aura of the "thing" is gone now. So in sequels you won't have that suspense.

Well the whole thing about the "thing" is that it's clearly specific to the people who get sucked in. Another movie will have a different thing
Was that lady with the red hair actually supposed to be another version of his wife or he just grabbed onto her cuz of the hair? I only ask cuz he had the IRL portrait of them in the dining room

I mean it's an okay amount. everything is condensed into like 6-8 months. The Async bit of the story is about that long. The research stretches back further though. I was hoping we'd get more Async business, but I understand that that wouldn't be as palatable to people who walked into this with no knowledge

yes, that is clear. But showing it in the way that we saw, takes away a lot from the intrigue. It brunts the effect future films can have.

Being honest, I've played video games that has "company does experiment with weird space and it goes wrong". That by itself is boring. A movie with that in the forefront is boring.

Well the creature was created by his imagination. The OG series shows a different set of creatures

I literally said I know that. But seems people want to refuse my point and just glaze. Anyways, I shared my opinion. Enjoy!

I think it is. I assumed that he found the Backrooms version of his house and she was there. especially being that he found himself there as well
