I'm genuinely confused by this because Drake and him are the same skintone I haven't seen Bad Bunny's parents, but Drake's mom, baby momma and son are all white so the attempt from Drake stans to put Bad Bunny down for being white when he's not is just super weird.

It's not about skin tones it's about power structures of society and historical context. I can't say for sure but definitely looks like Bad Bunny is not from the native population of Puerto Rico but a descendant of the Spanish (white, European) conquerors ages ago which makes him the white people of Puerto Rico (same with alot of central and south America).

So he has about as much credibility when gatekeeping hip hop as a white person to some people

I don't know much about Puerto Rican ethnicity, but skintone does play a role when it comes to acceptance in hip-hop imo. Drake and J Cole have N word passes, Logic doesn't and they all have a similar ethnic background
