I love seeing a fellow human in their redemption arc. This is what the justice system is all about. Growth and evolution benefits everyone involved and society at large. We're better off for this but I suppose ktt would rather see him reoffend than rehabilitate because yall egos feed off internet vengeance. Fortunately for the real world Baka is back into society and learning how to play a part in it again. More life to Baka and bless his heart

My thoughts as well. Im sure a lot of people are just making jokes, which is great, he’s a public figure and theres nothing wrong with that. But if you’re seriously opposed to this person turning their life around, idk what to tell you

Nah for real. These people so f***ing weird to me

These same people with sudden faux outrage for human trafficking will wish the worst on Baka and go back to listening their favorite rappers promote gang violence, d****, spreading all kinds of std, making broken homes with single mothers while disrespecting them, etc.

It's not really about human trafficking because there's millions of people involved in that industry that they never bring up. It stems purely from his associations and also seeing him actually redeem himself and become a better person having learned from his past.

They view the world as black and white with people like Baka in a box. He's breaking the mold and it's uncomfortable to acknowledge that fact

but the normalizing n congratulating him n his release after being there for human trafficking is the problem drake normalizing s*** that disgusting i'd be happy him helping him behind the scenes but so public is weird to me without talking of the context r why hes defending him 'he was wrongly imprisoned etc.' if that's what he believes. its good he ain't still trafficking though u right but doing it in the first place is scummery

Did you know that 1/20 criminal cases result in a wrongful conviction? It's estimated 5% in the US. Drake and Baka are both black men, he knows how the system is to people like him. I applaud Drake for standing by his friend even in the face of a conviction. That's probably why Baka is so close with him. If I had a friend like that I'd keep them for life. Whether you or I think he did it is irrelevant, Drake is firm in his beliefs and that's commendable

rappers promote gang violence, d****, spreading all kinds of std, making broken homes with single mothers while disrespecting them, etc. - human trafficking is very different n a different class to what u described i think most people put it in the rape category where its indefensible like ian connor everything u listed people can have a reason/defence/not too fussed for but not really for what baka did. if most peoples friend becomes a pimp/trafficking there's alt more questions/likely to break off that friendship than if they disrespect a single mum

Too be honest Im not thinking that deep into it. I have no idea what he actually did (just the charges which are ), he doesn’t seem to be doing anything negative now and I doubt a public figure like Drake would back him like that if there wasnt a good reason. From the outside looking in I just see a flawed person trying to change and I sympathize with that.

In Canada, 40% of reported human trafficking incidents result in charges, and only 11% of cases result in guilty decisions. there was never any talk of appeal/he innocent because of this gofundme here's the evidence that was overlooked at trial etc. so to me it just seems he still rocking with him as hes his friend not cos he actually believes hes innocent. u still rocking with ian connor as well if he was your friend?

You're so right, and to piggyback off that — in hip-hop they talk about gun and gang violence a lot .... so not forgiving each mass shooter who decides they'd like a cleaner image is hypocritical!

Everyone knows human trafficking and mass shootings are linked to real hip-hop like Drake!
