Reading a lot about borked quest lines, dialogue options disappearing, massive frame drops during combat that makes them excruciatingly slow when you’re fighting a ton of enemies etc.

Haven’t ran into anything like that personally

ā€œI’m halfway through Act 2, and there are three Acts in Baldur’s Gate 3. To make this a well-rounded review, I looked up some comments about Act 3 on Reddit to see how the experience is. In my research, I found people reporting that Act 3 has very poor performance and optimizations as well as the most bugs, some of which make progressing almost impossible. That said, Larian Studios is known for listening to the community and updating their game, so those will likely be ironed out in time. Bugs and performance aside, people are saying Act 3 contains some of their favorite moments of Baldur’s Gate 3. They’re also saying that the ending is a bit abrupt, but at least all the characters receive endings true to your campaign choices.ā€

This motherfucker posted a full blown review before even finishing the second Act of the game, and based their impression of Act 3 on Reddit comments.

    Video game journalism is elite.

It's like Roger ebert sliding on pulp fiction before we get to the marcellus Wallace part.

Like, if it were an MMO or something, I’d get it.

But goddamn, that’d be like reviewing The Witcher 3 before you get to Skellige.

    Metacritic really made things weird

I dont think first impression or midway reviews are per se an issue. Since you played the game and spend time with it and can therefore share your experience. Lets be real here rarely has an ending affected the overall experience.

However on metacritic where every single journalist review is weighted the same people sort of made base rules for how and what you have to do to be allowed to review the game. Thats not even realistic either since often people dont finish the game. The fact that games are always reviewed on exceptional hardware seems also to be established atp

I can see both sides since I especially enjoy the 100% reviews of a youtuber called Mortismal Gaming or whatever. So a review after 10 hours is also fine on paper. It gets weird because metacritic seems to be actually important these days so maybe its not very fair either.

So many fantastic levels on that last act and all of them at lv 12. All the companion quests I have done so far have a climactic final dungeon with several big fights on the high level. The stakes explode get so high sometimes I am not even sure if Im allowed to do them yet

Act2 and Act3 really manifest this a masterpiece to me. Sucks I gotta replay Act 1 again to get there my fault for putting in those hours in EA

Is there a way to see her if you missed her in act 1

In the beta I saved her from the cage, but I kinda skipped going to the spot she was at and went around the map first. When I came back the teiflings were dead and she was not there, so I just continued on lol
