this is your typical underground rapper x producer collaboration album coming with the usual underratedness

JUNE! lowkey sounds like a lifelong smoker trying to catch a breath on some songs, making this a grimy jazzy experience

official words on the album, via bandcamp

"The IND founder has come a long way since the release of “a sun’s soliloquy” and the contributions they’ve made thus far. Teaming up with frequent collaborator pis.i for their first full length LP was something hip-hop needed. The Charlotte MC gets real versatile over the 25 minute runtime of “PAST DUE”, a self acclaimed “collections of live sounds” entirely produced by the Italian producer.

Over the past year and a half, the pair been culminating something to test their limits as well as enjoying themselves while doing so. Fans will be excited to see fellow IND alums Nine Livz, Roman., nOOn & Jay Nabi appear, proving the cohesiveness of the collective is something to be reckoned with. pis.i’s sonic ability truly knows no other, with the Mary Sue assisted “CIVIC” displaying how well it meshes with JUNE!’s gritty, somber vocals. One of many great performances on this record. As the project seamlessly progresses, you’ll get to know a better version of the duo respectively, staying solid for the masses as geniuses at work."
