This is not good. I think for a while they towed the line well between landfill indie and something more interesting cause there was something kinda murky and mysterious about the music. The push towards a cleaner sound doesn't play to their strengths. And the songs just aren't as good

this didn’t do much for me lol their earlier stuff remains the best

I really like fundraiser

it’s a shame bc tracey denim was brilliant britpop this is just bad

so interesting how hard they tried to dial in and control their comeup to be as palatable and calculated as possible once they made noise instead of building true hype and momentum dropping great music consistently. now they're getting lapped by a band like Geese hype/acclaim/attention wise who stuck to making great music without trying to be Arctic Monkeys as soon as possible. and they're way more palatable!

like you need atleast 2-3 tracey denims and sold out shows before you start doing this s***

I think the Acopia album from this year goes for a similar sound but in a MUCH more interesting way

Has the dreaminess that is a bit lacking here
