This was a good movie lol. Had a coworker recommending me this for a while and my flight back home had it.
Wow this was dope. I thought for sure Bill Skarsgård was the bad guy which would of been typical
S*** had a lot of unexpected twist and turns
yeah the same guy we see in the flashback put on the carlos suit go in her house and unlock her window. Because he going to come back and kidnap her later then rape her. in the basement of that house. Thats part of why Justin lin character seeing the direct rape was supposed to shock him about his situation about regardless of if he felt it was purposeful he still traumatized that woman
Can’t believe you had to explain the obvious to them lol
nah im serious, was hard for me to keep up with the movie, the mom had me bricked up
Lmao wait fr?
You didn’t notice him unlocking the ladies window??
Or when he went to his basement, all the loud screams???
I thought my hbo max f***ed up and switched movies when the Justin Long switch happened
Who opened the bedroom door the first night?
Seen some of y’all say the barbarian lady but that makes no sense since the basement door is locked…

Wondered this when I watched and it was just never addressed lol. I don’t think it was the mother
ngl I thought he was just a good city worker/neighboor who believed in the city and got f***ed over by recession
crazy tho
LMFAO
good movie but its sudden shift in tone didn't quite do it for me, it's a bit of a mess

Homeless dude said she comes out the house at night so I just assumed it was her but you’re right about the lock thing

I was thinking she goes out the window? But I can’t remember if that thing even opened up fully.
It could have just been a writing mistake? But the whole set up is based around that basement door not being able to be opened from the inside.
Plus based on the mother character I doubt she would come upstairs and see two humans in the house and just shrug it off

Rewatching now
definitely thought it would be better. it was okay. And I think there are more responsible ways to deal with themes like child rape than making a film into a horror/comedy spectacle.
The reviews this got made it seem like it was a classic
