No it's not, there may be slight discomfort but it should never really burn.

Is use the feather SS holding straight razor

    It uses replaceable blades.

This system is SHARP AS F***, but that also means a smoother shave. I love it but you have to respect it.

Usually top notch barbers use these, you won't find a discount barber using it. Tbh, you're better off getting your face shaved by white people lol.

Ohh okay so like i usually get done with clippers the whole time and touching up but the barbers I have used with blades the burning doesn’t happen

So is it the whole blade vs clipper thing or what ?

Oh touch up with clippers definitely going to be uncomfortable for most part.

However a razor blade, with a skilled barber and proper prep should be pretty much pain free on the hairline. I keep a thin mustache, clippers don't low enough for that clean look, the clean look means no visible hairs above the mustache. Even with that I literally have no irritation whatsoever in the mustache area.

However there is one caveat, razor blades do not like bumps on your skin, they will always shed blood in those spots until you clear up your skin, but once it's clear it's smooth sailing

Lol they're trash at shaving, tbh 99% of niggas don't know how to use razor blades.

I use a Japanese straight razor and its EASY to line my mustache up. On my daily shaving regime I NEVER CUT MYSELF if my skin is smooth.

The reason why you getting cut up is because these fools hitting you with the razor dry.
When shaving you need a BARE MINIMUM of

Water on the area of interest-- Shaving oil for lubrication-- and running sink with hot water this cleans up the blade and a wet blade had less resistance.

Thses fools probably wiping the razor with a cloth or hitting it with the brush to knock hairs off. Anytime you touch the blade you dull it more.

I was getting a haircut one time and he was about to shave my face DRY. I IMMEDIATELY put a stop to that s***, the f*** was he thinking .
Lastly if they really know their s*** they'll hit you with a wet cold alum block to sanitize and soothe any nicks.

yeah this makes a lotta sense. i’ma start letting em know to use more oil to try and prevent that

    preciate you

ok i think i know what the problem is. whenever it happens the barber usually lines me up with the clippers than follows up with the blade to clean it up a bit more

that’s probably why i’m having this issue. preciate you bro

    edit: hairline btw

About to get off topic but this the kind of barber you need if they gonna use a razor on you.

Also razors give the CLEAN AS F*** beard definition. That's absolutely crispy, clippers can't do this.

Here's a good video of a great video. Man's went from a 6/10 to 9/10, good barbers are worth their weight in gold.

Only thing I didn't like the fact he used rubbing alcohol.

that feather shavette is dope i just use a regular shavette with feather blades to shave my face though. took a while (and a lot of blood) to get a hang of it but it's definitely better than DE razors for me.

Shavettes are the s***. I like feather super pro's the most because of my coarse hair

I also have the artist clubs as well. DE Razors feel like stone age technology in comparison. For some reason I said "fuck it" and dived in.

i still think DE razors has a place for me, I shave faster with them but I always go for the shavette unless time is an issue. cartridge and disposables suck. I could never get a baby smooth shave with those things

tbh the best hair cut I ever had in my life was in Korea and involved no razors. scissors only.

I got Asian hair tho so it’s different.
