i would be surprised if they gave less than a week's notice especially given cod have announced their dates

a beta is essentially a marketing demo, they want as much exposure as possible

based off the slowness of news/footage it's not a bad shout but do EA have a choice? not sure they have any titles of note dropping aside from the usual FIFA/Madden combo

not releasing a standalone title with the new gen consoles having the cut through they now do would be a disaster... maybe there is space in March/April given Battlefield is no longer a yearly release but their half year results would tank big time
