Boycotts dont do s***, even the biggest gaming journalist who specializes in worker's rights said it, for the activision/blizzard case nonetheless. This is a matter only the workers can resolve, and while she already is in an union, this shows that the union must keep fighting for better wages. Obviously Platinum and nintendo are still in the wrong despite offering the minimum the union has collectively decided for such contracts, since she was essential to bayonetta as a character. Goes without saying that if someone wants to boycott for personal reasons that's def alright. And also lets be honest, if you boycotting this over some moral justifictation you should boycott the entire game industry and more, virtually everything under capitalism is built on some form of exploitation

Bayonetta isnt just hellena tho, even if her performance definitely was part of her appeal. Mari shimazaki first and foremost and kamiya came up with her in the first place, and bayonetta herself is only a part of the whole game's appeal. But i surely cant blame anyone for thinking bayo as a character has changed forever, despite jennifer hale still doing a good job, and the character for many is the reasons they became fans in the first place.
