Wouldn't have got that RCA contract also wouldn't have devolved into a mountain of s***ty soundtrack albums etc. Best case scenario would have been ditching him in the early 60s and finding someone that would help him focus on the music.

Idk how much the movie is exaggerating but the fact he was hanging out with these blues and gospel legends is crazy

Watched an interview with Scotty Moore recently and he basically gave the impression they were like Easy Rider touring the South performing black music for white kids and black kids and getting harassed by racist rednecks. People think they were ripping off black music but really they were risking their asses to be able to play it for folks.
