ill play it and formulate my own opinions

funny enough i actually started playing nier recently so interesting to see the comparisons lmao

    played for about 3 hours

off rip this game has a weird bit of jank to it from the way you move and how the camera is positioned, the tutorial section is the most jarring part about it because it feels like the game wants to be over the shoulder but it plays like ff7r or nier. once you get past that section though you have a little bit more freedom in your movement and the camera isnt as restrictive.

im finding the combat to be pretty good once you really get the hang of it, stealth killing is also pretty viable too against some of the more annoying enemies and you can get the drop on bosses to get some damage in (not sure if youll be able to do this on the other bosses but it worked for the first one).

on a technical side this game is pretty unpolished on pc. thankfully im not getting any frame drops but the default settings had this game looking really bad with low res textures and fsr automatically enabled (fuck fake frames) i did tweak the settings to make the game actually look good but theres still an insane amount of pop ins even with high settings.

despite all that im having a good time with it so far though
