im looking for albums, songs with beautiful rock vocals, vocals that make the entire experience incredible.
i'm tired of hearing average or s***ty vocals in great rock albums, so give me some recommendations.
both albums have amazing vocals. I think you’ll like the first considering you’re a sade fan and they come from the same scene
Downtown Battle Mountain by Dance Gavin Dance

!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jt71EduTpQE&t=1m57sok come through the weekndesque vocal tone.
the title track from this album is so good

agree to disagree. he’s one of my favourite vocalists. love how odd his vocals sound at times, totally atypical from your average british artist. but otherwise, I agree. didn’t expect to see that you’ve heard it before.. uh, have you heard of late roxy music before? trying to think of something similar with great vocals lol

his vocals matched the scene he was in, he was more on the sophistipop/yuppie side of things and most of the vocalists from that scene used to mirror that awkward atypical vocal style, the same way the synthpop scene was minus the queer and bratty delivery.
Van Halen debut, Meat Loaf debut, Don't Break the Oath by Merciful Fate, Misfits anything (e.g., Earth A.D.)

delivery-wise…yeah, I can see the similarities to bands like china crisis, blue nile, lloyd cole, style council, etc. but I’m talking specifically about his vocal tones, idk if this sounds weird, but his voice sounds distinctively american that strikes me as unique from that scene.
Paul Stanley can sing too but id be here all day if I had to pick out all the Kiss songs that have great vocals
