So this is the thing, I walk in a Starbucks and I’m honestly really off anything that has to do with Israel right now before anybody thinks this is an antisemitic thread. So I got a really ethnic face and I run into a Starbucks, and so my name is Semitic and the cashier asks me: “Oh wow, are you Jewish”, and I say oh no I’m not. I thought this would end right there but the cashier goes on to say: “Oh so you’re a gentile”… And at first I felt flattered mate, never have been called kind things at any restaurant or coffee shop, then I went up to look at the cashier face and she had a pretty obvious look of disgust and like I ruined her day.
I take the coffee, get in the car and go back home… And today I was walking around the internet to find out jewish call non Jewish gentiles.
Isn’t the first time it’s happened to me therefore I’ve met gypsies in Germany who think I’m another whole kind of species.
Was she even Jewish?
Got me
I've always thought Australians are frank and unafraid to speak their mind, so I'm gonna assume her attitude has to do with what's happening in Palestine.
For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him
Romans 10:12
Starbuck coffee is ass why do they burn the f***in beans
Cause that machine is making 600+ coffees a day and rarely gets maintenance until it breaks
Gentiles are uncircumcised
thats lit
She was disgusted by your presence obviously. Should have returned the look of disgust.
You're a gentile giant, that's why.
I’m 6’2 so I might be on sum gentle giant s*** 💪😾
Take this to corporate that’s not acceptable behavior from an employee
Thats very anti-semitic of him to report her tbh…
that’s exactly what u get too. ur supposed to be boycotting
Like I said I wasn’t familiar with all this going on over there in Judea
See mate if I’m talking to you and out of the nowhere I look at you as if you smelled like organic contenders in a hot day of summer in Brisbane, would you feel comfortable
Bro you from Brisbane?
Gentile means nothing more than not Jewish, but may be offensive depending on the delivery and context, which it definitely was here.
If it bothers you then call the manager or corporate about it.
Was she even Jewish?
Well why else would a non Jewish persons ask if another person is, and call them a gentile when they’re not?
feel like this is the adjacent to hispanic people calling someone a gringo
It’s like a black/white person referring to an outsider as nonblack/nonwhite. Technically yes, but why do you need to say it like that? You gotta be obtuse to not see the potential offense in it
