Anyway I can't decide, both are equally amazing in their own right

agreed. It sucks pitting two classics at each other when they both told different stories and narratives. Good ass battle by op but its one that didn't need to happen

If you haven’t heard them you might as well listen to Boy Meets World by Fashawn along with Below The Heavens

its just a core rap thing. No one in the masses talks about it but it's very much considered a classic

    Yea that makes sense

Below The Heavens is considered a classic among rap fans on the internet, not just KTT

    no it’s not

  • Oct 16, 2020

Below The Heavens is my favorite album of all time, of any genre so you already know how I feel about this

    But it’s close GKMC is a 9 and BTH is a 10.

  • Oct 16, 2020

    Which is more L.A. tho?

Cause GKMC is Boyz In Da Hood on wax. I wonder how L.A. heads feel about how BTH depicts the California lifestyle.

I remember they used to say it was like a West Coast Illmatic.

No Greater Love is the best song on either project.

I got it tied with I Am Blu and Simply Amazin

BTH > most of Kendrick's catalog tbh

    But Kendrick's catalog >>> Blu's

And I dont even f*** with Kendrick like that.

Blu is prolly the most disappointing artist from that era cause he dropped a classic and then produced mediocre music for the next decade.

    Cause d****, right?

Mediocre where? I can't name a single trash Blu album.

And also nah. Blu still over Kendrick.

He never dropped trash for a decade, only great albums. Starting with HFC, then going into his best album in Godlee Barnes LP, followed that up with Jesus, NoYork and Flowers. Hell of a run right there.

Then we can go into the many beat tapes he put out, the Soul Amazing guest verse series along with the original 2 tapes, J&J, Day Late and A Dollar Short with Sene, Miles, Good to Be Home, the albums with Damu and Oh No, etc.
