I should add I live in a HCOL area (LA) too which is another reason why these blanket income caps piss me off, just like the stimulus. Should be adjusted based on zip codes.
I'm an oldhead (31) it just takes time man. Take risks, be bold, don't be afraid of failure is the best career advice I can give anyone.
I appreciate it. I may have to leave my field because it doesn't seem like you get great income in this industry unless you make it big time.
I know I received some sort of grant for maybe like 2 of the years I was in school. They weren’t much, maybe like $1-2K. Can’t find any info on them though……

i keep going back and forth on the idea of the root cause of ballooning tuition prices, and one reason many label for so as "fatty administration" but im just mixed on it. in both schools i went to i had professors serving as both teachers and advisors, and it always rubbed me the wrong way

It's failure to build more colleges vs increasing demand for a college education
Bureaucracy and administrative bloat definitely make it way worse but that's the very root of it
what's your field?
Television/news
Im currently a news producer for a station
Thought about getting some IT and management certificates as well.
In college I was in software engineering but switched, the teachers were not good.
I was alright at python but I'd have to brush up on that again. Been a couple years.

Man, we’re never gonna get universal healthcare in this country, we’re too goddamn toxic as a nation
Thank Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont for this even being in the conversation
i remember in fall 2018 i went to a meeting of my school's DSA chapter and was the only one to bring up student loan debt forgiveness as a pie-in-the-sky idea of something we could agitate for (i remember i said we should occupy the school bookstore and this uptight white girl gave me a snotty look)
crazy to me that it even became a mainstream talking point much less real in any capacity

increasing demand didn't come into existence in a vacuum tho, it was stimulated in part by the fact that the govt started giving out loans to people to facilitate greater attendance
