"The tape they played today was something I made out of anger, stupidity and frustration when I was a teenager. I’d just broken up with my girlfriend, who was African-American, and I reacted like the angry, stupid kid I was. I hope people will take it for the foolishness that it was, not for what somebody is trying to make it into today."

got anything to say for this?
When everything else in Eminem's character has shown him to be inclusive and empathetic

There are some good ones, but for the most part he birthed a lot of wack rappers and tropes

Eminem and the Aftermath era definitely contributed to rap's growth worldwide. That's still the era a lot of countries are obsessed with lol.

This increases sales and influence for the entire genre across the world, and empowers the industry and opens money and opportunity up for new artists.

He also influenced a lot of today's artists in one way or another, even if its not easy to see at surface level. You can spot moments of his flows and delivery in a lot of artists, including: The Game, Kendrick Lamar, Baby Keem, Big Sean, Tyler The Creator, Cordae, J. Cole, and more.

I think a case could also be made that he propped up and reshaped the battle rap subculture, and influences the way a lot of artists approach beef.

Yeah I had to keep that in a "case could be made" section because there were so many iconic beefs and diss tracks in the late 90s - early 00s

Wasn't even sure I should put that in there, but he's so notorious as being one of the best beef artists there's been
