Berserk is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Kentaro Miura. Set in a medieval Europe-inspired dark fantasy world, the story centers on the characters of Guts, a lone mercenary, and Griffith, the leader of a mercenary band called the "Band of the Hawk". Themes of isolation, camaraderie, and the question of whether humanity is fundamentally good or evil pervade the story, as it explores both the best and worst of human nature. Both the manga and anime adaptations are known for their use of graphic violence and sexual content.

Hopefully you enjoy the movies, I'd also really recommend the 1997 anime. The recent CGI series should just be ignored lol, all that Clang
Btw for anyone interested there's a supercut on youtube that combines the best parts of the movies and the 1997 anime. Its English dubbed for consistency and cause the dub for it was top tier. The animation switches may be jarring for some, but it's a really well done cut that combines scenes that were only done in one version together

haven't seen the supercut yet but the dub for the individual adaptations are surprisingly good
this is also worth checking out. maybe the best approach in adapting miura's work
