@op this album contains appearances from Phil Collins AND Kate Bush on here. It also introduced the world to gated reverb, which basically shaped the sound of the 80s
Their albums together in Genesis were some of the greatest in progressive rock. Selling England by the Pound
Genesis is a Top 5 band.
Hackett's guitar work was pure s***

you're right. they're incredible and excelled in both sides of the pond (the weird and experimental stuff , as well as the poppy mainstream stuff)
what's with ktt's pretentious obsession with kate bush
Do you know what that word means? There is nothing pretentious About enjoying music of Kate bush
f***ing love this album so much . it feels like a sister album to So by Peter Gabriel
Update: I’ve listened to the album 5 times through & am in love. I can’t stop playing it ty so much for the rec. it’s such a beautiful album & the soundscapes are wonderful.
Question: Do you know why In Your Eyes was Track #5, on the original track listing, but the remaster/rerelease has In Your Eyes as Travk #9 instead? I’ve tried playing it both ways & I think I like it at the end curious why he did that

Peter wanted In Your Eyes originally to close out the album, but since the bassline for the song was so heavy in the mix that if they put it at the end of the album on vinyl it would cause the needle to shake. Personally, I like the way the album closes on the reissue. Plus, This is the Picture isn't even on the original vinyl edition. I'm probably gonna have to pickup a reissue on vinyl since it includes that song

Foxtrot, Selling England by the Pound(my favorite), and The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway are all classics. Definitely give those a spin

Supper's Ready by Genesis is quite literally one of the best songs ever made

Man I’m gonna keep it a buck, I got 4 tracks in & just couldn’t get into it. I love Bowie but I’m such a basic b**** when it comes to his music. Zingy Stardust is one of my favorite albums of OAT, but that’s the only album
That’s ever truly clicked with me by him. His other material is just too heavy for me? Idk what it is, I hate it tho
Try Iggy Pops 1st record Bowie production all over it with Iggy vocals

foxtrot will blow your mind the first time you hear it
