Trance is easily the best running music. The buildups and drops are designed to put you in a euphoric trance. Any of the classics are a great place to start.

    Tiesto - Just Be
    Paul Van Dyk - Reflections
    Tiesto - Nyana
    Sasha - Involver
    Gareth Emery - Northern Lights
Ferry Corsten - Right of Way
    Armin Van Buuren - Shivers
Sasha & John Digweed - Renaissance
    Above and Beyond - Tri-State
Lange - Better Late Than Never

Man if I listen to relaxing music I want to take a walk not run

Btw Bon Iver is great walking music

it's just easier to zone out and focus.

    something like Pink + White

I personally do not run to music. I like to focus on my thoughts and nature during the time. Acts as a mental exercise as well as physical.

I realize this is not for everyone, as music can help people get through a run when they would otherwise not. But I recommend giving it a shot for a week or so. I focus on my form, pace, how my body feels, breathing, and when I am done doing those check-ins I think about s*** I need to accomplish. Prioritize my thoughts. Or I just focus on my surroundings.

I have very bad anxiety, so if I’m just running with my thoughts, it’s a terrible terrible experience. I’ve tried to train with mindfulness but it hasn’t worked and I’ve been trying for years. So I either have to listen to Nike’s guided runs or music, otherwise it’s a terrible experience for me and I don’t want to run again.
