Yea everything else either met or exceeded my expectations, as far as indie goes. Sling and the marias albums let me down the most :(. Amoeba is one of my favorite songs this year though. I still haven't heard solar power yet, so I can't really talk about that one either

Arlo Parks - Collapsed in Sunbeams
Big Red Machine - How Long Do You Think It’s Gonna Last?
Cautious Clay - Deadpan Love
Recently I've enjoyed "Inside Every Fig Is a Dead Wasp" by lunar vacation too. Even though a lot of projects had great production this year, I feel like a lot of em didn't have very catchy guitar riffs. That's pretty much what the album is. Very catchy songs
If you like acoustic s***, try John Sharkey III’s album Shoot Out the Cameras. I don’t like acoustic s***, but I like this record. “Pain Dance” and “Picking Roses” are my favorite songs from it but they’re not on YouTube.
(Sharkey used to sing and play guitar in Clockcleaner but now sings and plays guitar in Dark Blue, who are like a gothic Britpop band that also features Andy Nelson from Ceremony. He’s from Philly but lives in Australia.)
