Some artists have more of a focus on cohesive albums than others. You have the Kanyes and Kendrick’s who put great value in the album experience. This style results in a lot of great music, but obviously it’s not the only way.
Artists like Thug or Wayne rapidly produce music at such a rate that their discographies end up being monstrous spaghetti bowls of unreleased songs, scrapped projects, and hyper-frequent drops. And it’s great, in a different way, but the sheer content, as disorganized as it is is a goldmine.
Post your favorite discographies that are like this. Which style do you prefer? Are you more song-oriented or album-orientated?
im way more song oriented
albums are cool when you’re at a certain level of artistry but for most artists i prefer having as much content as possible to dig through
thug has the best loosie discography ever
Gucci Mane and MF doom(with his many aliases)
I prefer a cohesive body of work album wise but the work ethic of putting out tons of high mid to great music is to be admired
Wayne Thug Youngboy Gucci Prince Hov
I’m way more song oriented all my fav artist have “messy” discogs. Kanye the only album artist that’s a fav of mine.

I used to be very album oriented but Wayne and Thug changed all of that for me. I still love the album format when it’s done well but they really made me loosen up and just appreciate the greatness without too much obsessing about structure
