films i strongly disliked: boyhood, frances ha, drive

one film i found myself enjoying a lot is this french film about an art school girl who's really interested specifically in creating these weird artsy videos. she wants to become the protege of this artist that really inspires her and goes out to find him. he's this gruff ass dude living alone in a dilapidated old estate, she somehow finds him passed out playing tennis, drags him to the hospital, dude finds out he has cancer or sumn and decides to finally take her on as a protege. he has her film him as he goes around reconnecting with and saying goodbye to his various family members. at the same time there is this random ass lil child who goes around tryna meet aliens
