ebay is always a good place to start looking, or FB marketplace if you’re in a populated area

And get a 1000 if the price makes sense, that OLED screen makes a huge difference. I had a 2000 for years an eventually switched to a 1000, I didn’t know what I was missing lol. Only annoying part about the 1000 is the proprietary charging port and no internal memory out the box, but if you crack it (you should, it’s super easy) that won’t matter.

could get a retroid if your emulating it can run up to ps2/gamecube generation

1000 model for sure, and like others have said check marketplace first and then try eBay, sort by “ending last” and see if there are any good auctions you can snag. prices definitely have gone up over the past few years but you should be able to get something reasonable, hacked vita is GOAT great emulation machine and you can grab sd2vita which lets you use an SD card instead of their insanely expensive proprietary storage cards
