what's something you weren't 100% sold on buying, but you purchased it and turned out to be great?
for me, it was a bike for cycling earlier this year. helped my health (mental and physical) so much
A reverse osmosis filter installed under my kitchen. Did it myself it was pretty easy, cost about $250 and I spend like 50-80 a year on filters but holyyyyyy s*** bro I wish I did this way sooner.
We got really hard water here, tons of minerals in that s***. Plus from the 80s to around 1999 the big military base in my city spilled 24 million gallons of jet fuel into our aquifir and still hasn't done a goddam thing about it. So for my own peace of mind it's nice y'know.

what have you been using your Macbook for?
what have you been using your Macbook for?
Coding, editing documents, studying and media consumption. I picked up the m1 pro with a 16gb ram. I’m still shocked with the battery life.

Do you recommend this bike? I want to get into cycling but don’t know what bike to go with. I don’t want to cheap out on a bike but I don’t wanna go broke over one either.

Yeah, the Canyon Endurance AL 6 is a great road bike for long miles. Definitely expensive, but glad I got it.
But for biking, it depends on the surface you're going to be on (road, gravel, rough terrain, etc.) and what your goals are with riding (fitness, long distance cycling, travel to work, etc.).
My best suggestion is to go to your local Trek or Giant bike store and just talk with them about what you want to get out of a bike. They can direct you accordingly. I bought a Trek Dual Sport 3 for fitness not too long ago and I love it.
Just be prepared to spend a minimum of $600+ for a decent bike. You could always buy the frame, tires, etc on eBay or Craigslist and assemble it, but I'm not that at that point with really knowing my bike
Electric toothbrush
Thought it was a gimmick, couldn't understand why it would possibly be better than just manually brushing your teeth
Makes a big difference in cleanliness and I'm glad I bought it
@rhinocerosbeetle the Dual Sport 2 might be a good one to begin with. Not too too expensive, but might serve you for whatever your needs are (as long as it's not mountain biking)
one of those pairs of jeans with the sparkly back pockets. they were way too expensive for a pair of jeans but i get tons of compliments

oh snap op i remember u was asking about bikes some time ago. cool to see it had such a positive impact on u!
@HALLEBERRY adding my two cents, also hit up some local bike shops not just brand name spots. My local bike shops all keep a stock of used bikes they've serviced so they're affordable and ready to go. Talking like 300-600 bucks. You never wanna get sum at a place like walmart, but you don't need to really ball out either. At least not on your first bike

thanks man, glad i bought the bikes i have rn.
my "local" bike shops were so far away that i didn't even bother with them. seems like trek and giant are trying to become the go to bikes for new enthusiasts.
but i def agree that if you have a local bike shop, check in with them before going to the popular brand shops
Ergonomic office chair. Even though it's expensive af, I literally spend most of my day sitting on it. No more back or ass pain
