Another rage bait list
At this point, they obviously tweak it just enough to piss people off but not enough to make it look like it’s on purpose.

You know how much I love Janet, but she should not be above him whatsoever.
Where is JAHRON
Sam Cooke being high on these R&B lists is the R&B equivalent of NBA lists being required to have Bill Russell/Wilt/Oscar Robertson high @Camille @Hndrxx_Free
I really don’t see how you’re making that argument. Michael is capable of doing all that Stevie does as a vocalist, while also being one of the most stylistically adventurous singers ever.

sick of you
Idk about this one tbh. Michael at his peak vocally, which I’d say was BAD era, was truly insane.
However I would say that Stevie did a better job of maintaining the quality of his voice over the decades. MJ’s voice notoriously took damage and weakened throughout the 90s and 2000s, even though he never truly lost his voice.

id say peak vocals was OTW-Thriller but I agree with everything else
ok .. i see what you’re saying now

Thing about Bad was he still had the softer voice from OTW-Thriller, but he also could mix in the gritty/raspy voice that dominated a lot of his later work and I think the versatility gives him the edge for what Id consider “peak”. Being able to mix both and make it look effortless is extremely impressive.
He probably would’ve been able to maintain that versatility longer but he damaged his voice on the Bad tour, permanently making it deeper.
First of all.
R. Kelly above Marvin Gaye.
MJ above Prince.
Man, LMFAO.
Mj s***s on prince and even prince knew that thats why he tried to run mj over
I think by a couple objective metrics you have to say Michael is the better singer, but if you wanna talk strictly R&B, I guess that is moreso Stevies lane
