It's definitely up there. Sounds like what R&B should sound like. From the performance, vocals, instrumentation, songwriting, general feel/tone. It just sounds and feels grandiose. Got that strong sense of devotion and yearning. It's got it all.

The cover ain't bad either. Might just be better than the original, but it depends on how I feel on a given day.

Like if anybody were to ask me "What's R&B?" this is probably one of the first songs I'd tell them to listen to in order to get a perfect idea of it.
